FBI Paper Converter Input

Despite the alleged advance of the paperless office and the advance of the electronic digital age more than 90% of all records are still on paper. Therefore a complete range of equipment has been evolved over many years to turn paper into Film Based Images so that it can, quickly, become part of the CDA.

FBI paper convertors can be specialised or general purpose units. Cheques can be automatically processed (front and back simultaneously) at speeds of up to 300 per minute; computer printouts of any width at up to 20 per minute; A4 documents (front and back simultaneously) at up to 150 per minute. The speed of the conversion will obviously vary according to the way the records have been stored and their general condition. Because FBI technology is a reprographic process, even documents of poor legibility can be captured with the information still usable. Also, as the FBI material is on a transparent base, poor records (with the use of back lighting) can be further enhanced when they are subsequently digitised. Many convertors can add 3 level blips to the FBI's. The blip system enables records to be located automatically and displayed on the screen without the need for manual searching.
