Modern imaging technology enables microfilm and microfiche collections to be scanned improving access to the valuable information held on the media. Original microfilms can be returned to archival storage for long term secure retention, whilst the new digital copies are now free for convenient distribution and/or manipulation.

There are two types of microfilm scanners available - on-demand and production:

On-demand microfilm scanners, such as our most popular ScanPro 2000, are ideal for an organisation that requires digital, scan-to-print or public access to its microfilms. Genus distributes the full Canon, E Image Data, Kodak, Minolta and Staude microfilm scanner ranges which include:
