1974

Genneg Associates – was created to meet the demands of a niche microfilm consumables market, by Mr J Negus.

1980

Moved to supplying trade with microfilm consumables.

Moved to supplying retail with microfilm consumables.

1984

Name changed to The Microfilm Shop – Opened existing office and warehouse on Attleborough Fields Ind Est, Nuneaton, UK.

Started magazine The Micrographic Market Place that later turned into The Green Sheet and now IDMi.

1992

Warehouse in Nuneaton extended to twice its original size.

Opened office and warehouse in France.

Published the Micrographics Modem – the bible of microfilm consumables.

Started marketing world wide.

Started manufacturing our own products – cartridges, spools, boxes etc.

1994

Started manufacturing microfilm jackets with creation of The Microfilm Factory Company.

Started striping and cutting 105mm diazo products.

Published Micrographics Modem in French and German.

1996

Paul Negus becomes MD.

1997

Gain certification to ISO 9001 for Quality Management

Purchase of JRK ImaginGraphics – European distributor of microfilm diazo.

Purchase of REAL – worldwide manufacturer of microfilm diazo and silver duplicators.

Purchase of Graphic Press – commercial designer and printer.

Began scanning operations with the use of production microfilm scanners

2004

Purchase of Silver Lining – specialist manufacturer of microfilm chemicals.

Purchase of OITUK Ltd – developer of Document and Record management software.

Creation of the Large Format division – specialising in plotting and scanning equipment for engineering drawings.

Introduced SMA scanners to the UK

2006

Introduces Book2Net scanners from Microbox to the UK

2007

Purchase of the micrographic service division of Graphic Data UK Ltd and EDM to create our own Microfilm Equipment Service Division.

Purchase of Eichner Mikrofilmhaus – worldwide distributor of microfilm consumables and owner of the Ozaphan microfilm product range.

2010

Creation of Imaging Technology – specialising in book, film and document scanners and software.

2011

Launch InoTec and Avision Document scanner ranges into UK. Launch www.paperscanners.co.uk e-commerce site for document scanners.

2012

Launch Hyperwave content and document management software to UK. Relaunch of www.genusit.com website.

Construction completed of our third capture studio complete with full security features for high security projects
