The SMA ROBO SCAN is the most versatile book scanner available worldwide. It is most commonly used for books, yet the scanners can easily convert to a flatbed scanner for newspapers, photographs, maps, architectural drawings and other flat originals.
The ROBO SCAN features a sensitive robotic arm that carefully lifts and turns each page. Not only will your productivity dramatically increase with the ROBO SCAN, but the user is able to operate the ROBO SCAN in a manual mode for extremely rare or fragile originals.
Like all SMA scanners, the ROBO SCAN operates independent of ambient light. Bright sunlight or intense florescent ceiling light does not interfere in the scanning process. High quality images based on state of the art technology produces optical resolutions up to 600 x 1200 dpi in bi-tonal, grey scale, and color. The ROBO SCAN utilizes lighting that is completely free of any ultra violet or infrared radiation. This guarantees harmless and uniform illumination to the original.
