On Thursday 19th March 2020 we released a business statement detailing our responses, messages and new practices in light of COVID-19. Here is our latest update on the current situation regarding our business operations.
On Tuesday 24th March 2020, in line with UK government instructions, all non-essential Genus staff were told to stay at home. We have a team of eight “Essential Operational Staff” at the offices and all of the activities and functions of Genus remain open. We have a large number of scanners and microfilm equipment on service maintenance contracts inside key government departments. Most of this equipment is, understandably, working more than normal. We also supply a lot of consumables into key government departments and large organisations. Genus will be ensuring that the supply of these key goods and services continue to the best of our abilities.
In addition we have some sales and marketing staff working actively from home. We have increased the capacity of our chat feature on the website – www.genusit.com and we are making active use of video conferencing facilities for product demonstrations and meetings. We may take a little longer to respond than normal but we will respond.
To all of our clients and suppliers and to everybody we know – please stay safe and healthy. We will see you on the other side.
