About

Ease of Use
Boasting an intuitive interface with simple operational, editing and saving commands, IMAGEhost works at the touch of a screen, the stroke of a keyboard or the click of a mouse.

Familiar Access and Fast Speed
Images appear in microfilm strip form, just as on a traditional reader-printer, and can be moved at different speeds in forward and reverse modes. As viewers are scrolling through rolls and not individual images, the loading and viewing times are fast and efficient.

Microfilm Retrieval
IMAGEhost has been designed to access microfilm files scanned by the Genus technical team or by owners of Genus approved microfilm scanners. Options for microfiche, aperture card and photographic negatives will be available in future releases.

Multi-device Retrieval
Users can access microfilm rolls from multiple devices, including traditional PC’s, laptops, notebooks, tablets and smartphones.

    Cost-saving Benefits
IMAGEhost offers cost-savings in several primary areas:

Initial scanning. Microfilm is scanned in roll format rather than as individual images. This eliminates the cost of image postprocessing while retaining high image quality.

Hosting. Clients without a current hosting solution save the cost of building a complicated in-house infrastructure.

Microfilm wear and tear. As the original microfilm is no longer subject to frequent handling, the reduced wear and tear can help ensure the film’s long-term structural integrity.

Reduced man-hours. With no need to manually locate and transport microfilm to a reader-printer, end-users save time and money with easy OCR searchability from any location.
